Our Story

Hello,

We are Lisa & Andy the faces behind Statement Furniture.

 

We’ve always been interested in buying and restoring furniture for our own home. Andy runs his own joinery business and Lisa enjoyed a career in Design & Advertising. Both have a keen interest in interior design with a passion for sourcing furniture and Andy’s job means he gets to work on many commercial renovation projects – unearthing industrial salvage.

We get a real buzz finding beautiful pieces for our home and others. Our buying trips take us all over the country, it can be hard work but it’s really a passion not a job. We buy what we love, restoring pieces, giving them a new lease of life and feel happy to be part of a more sustainable society.

Our skills and trusted suppliers have enabled us to offer our own bespoke pieces too, we use elements of salvage, reupholster items or rework with new materials. Creating something that is totally unique.

We do what we do because we are passionate, everything doesn’t have to match – it just has to work in your home, functionally and visually. If we sell you something that has a story behind it – we’ll be sure to tell you – so you can tell your friends too!
