ANTIQUE RAMS AIR & WATERTIGHT TRUNKS
Made in the early 1900s these two kit trunks belonged to Horace Claude Benson - graduated in the army in 1928, commissioned into the Royal Medical Corps January 1929! Serving in India, captured by the Japanese and held as a POW, served in Egypt, Malta and Sudan.
This pair of trunks are in beautiful condition with evidence of many of those trips. Each hand painted too! They have remained untouched, with no repairs. The interiors are zinc, there are no original keys just a working catch. The trunks are air tight so shut tightly requiring two hands to open. Each would make great storage, coffee table or display pieces.
We would prefer to sell as a pair but will split if you get in touch.
